Directions to the House

From Geneva

From the train station (Cornavin), take the rue de la Servette all the way out to Meyrin, where it becomes the route de Meyrin. Keep on driving out in the direction of the Jura, being careful to slow down for the radar traps along the route. The road takes you past CERN and to the St. Genis Douane. Cross the douane, straight through the first small roundabout until you get to the large roundabout of St. Genis. Go 3/4 around the roundabout (third right) until you are headed in the direction of Thoiry.

From Ferney-Voltaire

From Ferney, take the main road (D35) around Prèvessin (or pass through Prèvessin, if you prefer) toward St. Genis. Go straight through the traffic light at the CERN Entrance to the large roundabout. Go straight through the roundabout (second right) and follow the road to the large roundabout of St. Genis. Go straight through the roundabout (second right) until you are headed in the direction of Thoiry.

From the Large St. Genis Roundabout

Take the road facing southwest toward Thoiry. This will take you past a small plastic roundabout, where they are enlarging the road and under a new bridge up to another plastic roundabout. Take the first right and then follow the road as it curves back toward the Jura. Follow that long, nearly straight, road all the way, over the railroad tracks, until you reach a stop sign at a T junction. Now, turn left toward the village. The road goes up and heads into the village, with several curves along the way. You will go over several speed bumps, as you pass the Mairie on the right. When you come to the restaurant Les Cepages on the left, turn right at the first road and follow it up around a farm house and toward the Jura. Keep heading up to the intersection with a small vineyard on the right. Here, you turn left (actually kinda straight) on to rue Crotte Garin, marked with a dead end symbol and a Miel de Thoiry sign. Follow up that road about 144m. Our house is the new wooden one on the right. You can park on the driveway, which is currently a flat patch of mud between the house and the field below.
